How closely Ukraine border control scrutinizes your passport and visas depends on where you are a citizen. Since Ukraine isn't a Schengen country, they likely won't care about the Schengen visa. Your bigger issue will be getting back into Poland, which will review the Schengen visa - and if it's expired...
