My grandparents were born in poland, which is part of the eu. can i live in the uk?
i'm not sure how to prove my grandparents were born in poland, though. they're all dead now and i'm not sure about papers and documents, either. my niece found someone online who knew them in poland, though.

where were you born, yes you can but why. to many imigrants and migrants there very strict about who they let in

If YOU were not born somewhere in the EU, probably not. If at least one of your parents was not a citizen of some EU country when you were born, I have even stronger doubts. But in the end it's a matter of Polish law. If you can get Poland to recognize you as a citizen, then you're an EU citizen, and can settle in any EU country. I don't think the nationality of grandparents carries much weight though.

Parents probably ..grandparent very little chance make enquires at the nearest Polish consulate

You need to find those documents & you need to find out if you can claim citizenship through them If you can claim citizenship through them & get a Polish passport then yes, you can If you can't prove they're Polish citizens & you can't claim citizenship then the answer is no You must have a Polish passport in order to enter the UK & be treated as if you are a Polish citizenship, presenting a family tree to Immigration control won't get you far

Where was you born? If you were not born in a EU country no. If your parents were born in Poland or came from Poland, well yes you could move to Poland and apply for Polish citizenship. And then a Polish passport. Then you could live in the UK. As a EU citizen. But the British government is has now put a limit on how many Polls can move and live in the UK. You can not get Polish Citizenship threw your grandparents. Only your parents.

E.U. countries vary in their criteria for citizenship. Italy, for example, can grant citizenship if you can prove the grandfather (not the grandmother for some reason) was born there. Poland, on the other hand, only can grant citizenship based on a parent being born there. There are other ways as well. The only link to your grandparents is if they immigrated to the U.S. in the 1920's or 1930's. You can check out the link here: http://www.polishconsulateny.org/en/m.22.Polish_Citizenship.html
